Must get me some blazers!

I use to wear blazers all seasons long. Not because I wanted to but because I went to a private school that made me to. Now that I see my fav celebrities wearing blazers, I want some cute colorful ones and basic black ones to go along with short dresses. Just love the looks!

Reminiscing my wedding~ part III

Wedding hair was another part that I put lots energy into. Hair makes someone look so different, you know. Here are few hairs that I was thinking of

I wanted puffy, lots volume, and curly look and these are the pictures I brought to my hair dresser and she did a fantastic job!For veil, I wanted french veil with big flowers. Had no idea that veil would cost hundreds of dollars. So I went to Etsy.com They have all these great veils for less then $50. My lady who personally made my veil and flowers are no longer with Etsy but you will have great luck with that site!

Reminiscing my wedding~ part II

Few more DYI projects for my wedding.
My friend, Marrisa Sanchez created this cute collage box for my bachelorette party and I reused this box for gift box during wedding.
Hoek's younger sister, Michelle, made our wedding programs. The heart shape you see is actually Hoek and I thumbprints. I got the idea from Mates of State concert poster.
I don't have a professional picture of my wedding invitation but I made the wedding invitation with many different illustrations that I found on some art books. I went to barnes and noble one time and bought whole bunch illustration or graphic books and scan all the imgs that I liked and return the books back to them. haha This great idea, I credit to my friend, Carmen.

Reminiscing my wedding~ part I

Wedding is over and its been already 4 months I have been married to my man.
To single ladies out there, seriously, marriage is so much fun and best thing that ever happen to my life. I say if you know he is the one, have a short engagement and just get married! Haha

Let me update about my wedding.
Seriously this wedding was DIY wedding to cut cost down in nyc and all my family and friends helped me so much to make it so wonderful.

Here are some pictures
These were our center pieces for our guest tables. Created by my bride's maid, TinaAll the flowers were done by my friend, Heather
(if you want to connect with her for your wedding flowers, email me. She is wonderful)
my bouquet
These yellow bouquets were for my bride's maids.
We gave thank you flowers to both of our parents and they were just so lovely.
These were for my backdrop.
These were for wedding party center pieces. I mean you should have seen it in real life.
It was the most amazing work of art!

This is just beginning of my wedding photos. Will update you more soon~!

Our Registries

Option 1:
Hey, if you're considering a gift we have registered at Crate and Barrel and Bed, Bath & Beyond. As a kid I always fantasized about being a cowboy shooting bad guys with toy guns. Never thought it would be equally fun aiming and shooting a barcode gun at bed sheets!

Option 2 (*nudge*nudge* preferred option):
As many of you know, Purim and I are trying to buy a dream home in New York to call our own. The entire process so far has been one full of prayer and anticipation. It's a rare buyers' market in NYC right now and we are praying for God's provision and blessing! As Purim and I grow together as husband and wife in our first home, we would love for our friends to help us build our first nest together. Plus, if we have no home, where will we put all the stuff from Option 1? ;)

Accomodations

Purim and I have researched quite a few hotels in Manhattan and Brooklyn, but have decided that it'd be easiest and most cost effective for you to log onto www.expedia.com or www.hotels.com or www.orbitz.com and search for the best deal.

If you are on a budget, NYC have many hostels too and many of them actually have private rooms. www.hostelbookers.com There is a hostel right by our wedding place called Zip112 but this one doesn't have private rooms.

If you want to experience unique New York City hotel, please check out our friend's website called Table Hotels. They are pricey but one of a kind hotels.

Anywhere in Manhattan should be fine as long as you stay below 110th street. Some neighborhoods that would work well are as follows: Midtown, Grammercy, Theater District, Rockefeller Center, Upper West side, Union Square etc. One hotel we found in Brooklyn close to where our wedding will be is Hotel Le Jolie if you can't find a hotel under $150, please email us and we will get you a room at Hotel Le Jolie for around $150. Our wedding location is at Bedford stop on L train and its only 15 minutes from Union Square.
